Personal reflexivity:
Epistemological reflexivity:

Researcher must:
provide sufficient details about issues that may potentially bias the investigation
To improve:
researcher using qualitative methodology undergo an interview with a colleague to try to expose any biases they have
- the researcher’s need to constantly be aware of: how and why they are conducting the research
- and to recognize at what points their own beliefs and opinions about the topic under investigation might have influenced data collection or analysis

- involves thinking on ways in which the researchers’ own beliefs and opinions influence the researcher
- and about how the research has affected the researcher personally and professionally
Epistemological reflexivity:
- involves thinking about the ways in which knowledge has been generated in the study
